This will most likely be our last Boston show for several months as we work on the next record. On this show we will be debuting more new songs we are very excited about. With our long-time collaborator and label-mate Alec K. Redfearn & The Eyesores, the ever-inventive collective Tiger Saw, plus a rare Boston solo performance by the brilliant songwriter and guitarist Micah Blue Smaldone.

We return to NYC, this time with the awesome country punk band The Goddamn Rattlesnake and Larkin Grimm. Larkin is a powerful and magical singer, songwriter, and performer who we toured with in February...before that tour, I wrote a few songs with Larkin's voice in mind for our upcoming album Boy From Black Mountain, and during the tour she fell into the harmonies and rhythms so naturally that it was as if she knew the songs before even hearing them. Larkin is currently working on a new album with Michael Gira producing on Young God Records. Our show at Union Pool with Larkin is a rare event -- do whatever you can to attend this show. -- Brian Carpenter
"Larkin is a magic woman. She lives in the mountains in north Georgia. She collects bones, smooth stones, and she casts spells. She worships the moon. She is very beautiful, and her voice is like the passionate cry of a beast heard echoing across the mountains just after a tremendous thunder storm, when the air is alive with electricity. I don't consider her folk though - she is pre folk, even pre- music. She is the sound of the eternal mother and the wrath of all women. She goes barefoot everywhere, and her feet are leathery and filthy. She wears jewels, glitter, and glistening insects in her hair. She's great! We're doing a record together for Young God Records." -- Michael Gira
