RON CASWELL: Tuba

Ron Caswell joined Beat Circus in 2002. He holds down one of the most unique sounds on the tuba in modern music. Ron moved to NYC and started picking up gigs at an early age with ensembles ranging from the Flying Karamazov Brothers to the New York City Opera. He has recorded and performed with They Might Be Giants, Anthony Braxton's Tri-Centric Orchestra, the Royal Brass, the American Composers Orchestra, and Max Roach. He is a major part of the uprising NYC gypsy music scene surrounding the club Mehanata, performing with Slavic Soul Party, Romashka, and Gogol Bordello. Ron also performs in Frank London's Klezmer Brass All-Stars and Brian Carpenter's Ghost Train Orchestra.
